Preface
Dear students,
Test examination has established itself as a relevant method for assessing knowledge of human anatomy. It has proven to be a reliable and effective approach for evaluating the cognitive skills of students studying anatomy, histology, and embryology across all medical universities in the Republic of Bulgaria.
The Department of Anatomy, Histology, and Embryology at the Medical University of Plovdiv has successfully employed testing for medical and dental students for over twenty years. This method is used to obtain an objective assessment of knowledge regarding human anatomy—both in final examinations and in ongoing tests (colloquia)—for students in both Bulgarian- and English-language programs.
This collection of tests on the locomotory system contains 515 questions, organized into the following sections: "Bones," "Joints and Articulations," "Muscles and Vessels of the Upper Limb," and "Muscles, Vessels, and Nerves of the Lower Limb." The authors have provided not only the correct answers to each question but also detailed anatomical explanations for them. In this way, students will not only arrive at the correct answers but also reinforce their knowledge of anatomical terminology, as well as the topographical and other aspects of the structures comprising the human musculoskeletal system.
The authors hope that this collection of tests will encourage students in their study of human anatomy and help them achieve excellent results in the assessment of their knowledge.
